And once again, it’s been a while since I’ve updated anyone who visits this space on my exciting life. Spoiler alert. It’s not that exciting. Yeah sometimes I can make sure there are fun stuff happening, in which I’ve already written a bit about so excuse if there’s going to be some time jumping happening. Most of the country, or from what I’m hearing, the world, is in lockdown or complete isolation.

Some of us are working from home, others are on a leave trying to say busy to avoid going mad. I am a combination of both. I have this weird approach to my blog, youtube or creating in general, I like to look at it as a hobby but from time to time I’ll convince myself it’s my job. One can dream, right? That kind of approach helps me a lot, actually. With staying motivated to do something when it’s hard to do it. Finding motivation to post and create can be hard for me as I get anxiety over having everything perfect. I’ve started drawing on Procreate recently, and I’m trying to tell myself that it’s ok if it’s not perfect from the first go. I often notice that my perfectionism is one of the sole reasons of killing my drive. If it can’t be perfect I don’t want to do it, because “what’s the point”. Well, the point is to get better. When I’ve first started blogging all of my photos, text, design, all of it was a joke, it wasn’t perfect. It isn’t perfect now. But I’d like to think that I’ve improved one way or another. We all have to start somewhere.

That’s why I’m trying to make this lockdown productive yet fun. My goal is to clear out my hard-drive and SD cards from (not all of it) but most of the old content. I want to get better at drawing, I use to be quite good at it but lack of practice for years has made me quite rusty. So I’m spending this time to get good at it again and most impotently enjoy it! I’ve caught up on some reading that I’ve been putting off, I’ve decorated my room, shot and edited some more and had some quality time with friends via video chats. You could say that this lockdown is doing me good.I was so scared that it’s going to have the negative effect on me as working and structure helps my anxiety and depression to keep it at bay. But I’m allowing myself to sleep in (9am/10am most of the days) create only when I feel like it, and I’m doing weekly checklists! And if you’re like me and need structure, checklists are quite fun.

There’s something really rewarding about ticking off those boxes, I also really enjoy creating checklists for other people so I’ve done the same thing to a friend of mine and we both enjoy it. It can be as “stupid” as replying to a friend or making sure you’ll read for at least an hour a day. I highly recommend doing these! On my checklist today was to post this blog post and share these photos that were taken over a year ago, I’d say almost two years ago really.

I wore this casual outfit to see my friend Skye in Leeds, we had coffee, pizza, we took photos and hang out for a whole day. I can’t believe I haven’t seen here since then! I miss her. It was a fun day. I think causal days with friends like these are my favourite. I dressed up for an occasion of course. And I call this casual. At this point I think it’s rather obvious that platforms are a casual type of shoe for me.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings. I  hope all of you are safe and good. We can get though this. Stay at home, wash your hands and drink water.

Love xxx
