I MISS BLOGS

I miss blogs. Pretty self explanatory title. Technically, it’s such a simple statement that I could just post this post with the title, photos and clothes I’m wearing and that’s it. There isn’t much I need to elaborate but then again, and I’m sure I’ve said this before posting few photos on the blog with little to no text or context to them always seem bit plain. Maybe even bit sad. Not in a bad way either. But personally if I would like to only see photos I’d go on Instagram or Tumblr. There’s a reason why blogs and websites are a thing and it’s not just about just social media platforms. And I know that times have changed and blogs are not nearly as big as they were 10 years ago. One would argue that they’ve died a tragic death never to be resurrected again.

When other people posted the urge to post myself was there. The cute exchange of comments between online friends on posts, hyping each-other over Twitter. It was a really wholesome time. Of course I’m talking this as a rather small creator compering to how big the community actually is. Or was? I know most likely we’ve already moved unto TikTok or video essays and blogging won’t ever be the same, times are hard, everything seems bleak and attention spans went out the window. I’ll be shocked if 10 people (excluding my mother) will read this whole post. And that makes me sad, not because I care about the views, I’ve learned to stop at least on here.

It just shows me that maybe.

Just maybe. Blogs may in fact be dead. RIP.
