This little fashion video has been on my mind ever since I ordered and received the custom harness design from the lovely people over at Scarlet in Chains. I definitely consider myself a loyal customer when it comes to brands I believe in and love.
Scarlet in Chains is one of those brands. I first met them and got to know their brand last year for London Edge in September and let’s just say from that moment I was hooked. Over the many years of blogging and interacting with brands what I noticed really makes me stick and believe in the brand is how they approach and treat bloggers/influencers/customers. I have met fair share of brands that would meet an “influencer” and see us as a walking number. Which honestly, fair enough. But that’s something that has always got under my skin, especially since I’ve been feeling a little insecure about my number count for years. Which is dumb really. However, not every brand is like that. Scarlet in Chains is one of these brands that really puts love, care and attention into each and every of their pieces, whenever it’s a necklace, a collar, harness or something that you’d want custom, few days ago I’ve seen a beautiful custom head piece made by them.
That also shows not only in the aesthetic side of things but also in the quality of their products. Made of high quality stainless steel, making it hard to break, no matter how hard you try, trust me mine has been put to the test. And even if an item is going to get damaged they will happily repair it for you as well as resize any of their products if needed! Talk about excellent customer service. On top of that all of their crystals and semi precious stones in many beautiful colours are Swarovski which is going to add a beautiful sparkle to the items of your choosing. I own two collars/necklaces with the Swarovski stones one in black and other one in green and trust me when I say that the sun reflect from them, especially the green one can be blinding.
On harness side of things… Since Scarlet in Chains are a team of two individuals who put so much love into their pieces, they love making custom items. And excuse the language but I’m a slut for custom items, jewellery, shoes, clothes, you name it. I want it. For years my fashion sense has been little bit (ok fine a lot!) fetish-wear influenced, let’s just say harnesses are not something new to my wardrobe, I love to wear them, I love the look of them, vegan leather, with O-rings, buckles, you name it. I want it all. But I’ve never seen one made out of chain. Not one that wouldn’t break after two wear’s that is. Noticing that Scarlet in Chains do in fact sell chain harnesses, I contacted Sophie, asking if she could made me a custom, something that would be both restrictive, fun to wear and easy to style with. After providing her with a reference of what I was looking for she has made me the perfect chain harness that I think I’ve been looking for years! And wearing it with my collar and other necklaces made my them it almost looks like one piece item. It’s well made, simple and works perfectly with my style and wardrobe. I’ve been saying for years that a harness is a perfect accessory but a chain one, well it’s even better.
